¹⁵ 愛子是那不能看見之　神的像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。 ¹⁶ 因為萬有都是靠祂造的，無論是天上的，地上的；能看見的，不能看見的；或是有位的，主治的，執政的，掌權的；一概都是藉著祂造的，又是為祂造的。 ¹⁷ 祂在萬有之先；萬有也靠祂而立。 ¹⁸ 祂也是教會全體之首。祂是元始，是從死裏首先復生的，使祂可以在凡事上居首位。 ¹⁹ 因為父喜歡叫一切的豐盛在祂裏面居住。(西1:15-19)

A) 基督是 神旨意的中心

• ¹⁶ 因為萬有都是靠祂造的，無論是天上的、地上的，能看見的、不能看見的，或是有位的、主治的、執政的、掌權的，一概都是藉著祂造的，又是為祂造的。 ¹⁷ 祂在萬有之先，萬有也靠祂而立。  (西1:16-17)
• ⁹ 神將祂升為至高，又賜給祂那超乎萬名之上的名， ¹⁰ 叫一切在天上的、地上的，和地底下的，因耶穌的名無不屈膝， ¹¹ 無不口稱「耶穌基督為主」，使榮耀歸與父 神。 (腓2:9-11)

B) 基督是教會的元首

• ²⁰ (神)…使祂從死裏復活，叫祂在天上坐在自己的右邊， ²¹ 遠超過一切執政的、掌權的、有能的、主治的，和一切有名的；不但是今世的，連來世的也都超過了。 ²² 又將萬有服在祂的腳下，使祂為教會作萬有之首。 ²³ 教會是祂的身體，是那充滿萬有者所充滿的。(弗1:20-23)

C) 基督是一切

• 惟有基督是一切，又在一切之內。(西3:11)

1. Christ is the center of the will of God

a. ¹⁶ For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. ¹⁷ And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Col 1:16-17)

b. ⁹ Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, ¹⁰ so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:9-11)

2. Christ is the head of the Church

a. ²⁰ that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. ²² And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, ²³ which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. (Eph 1:20-23)

b. ¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church. (Col 1:18a)

3. Christ is all

a. ¹¹ ... Christ is all, and in all. (Col 3:11b)
