“A People Dwelling Alone, Not Reckoning Itself Among the Nations” (10) : Becoming a People that Yearns Toward Zion

▪ 9 他因著信，就在所應許之地作客…與那同蒙一個應許的以撒、雅各一樣。 10 因為他等候那座有根基的城，就是 神所經營所建造的…16 他們卻羨慕一個更美的家鄉，就是在天上的。所以　神被稱為他們的　神，並不以為恥，因為祂已經給他們預備了一座城。(來11:9-16)

▪ ⁹ By faith he dwelt in the land of promise… dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; ¹⁰ for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God… ¹⁶ But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. (Hebrews 11:9-16)

▪ 5 靠你有力量、心中想往錫安大道的，這人便為有福…7 他們行走，力上加力，各人到錫安朝見　神。 (詩84:5-7)

▪ ⁵ Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage… ⁷ They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion. (Psalm 84:5-7)

C) 這聖城的特質

C) Characteristics of this holy city

1) 是屬天的(來11:16, 12:22)

▪ 你們乃是來到錫安山，永生　神的城邑，就是天上的耶路撒冷。(來12:22)

1) Is heavenly (Hebrews 11:16, 12:22)

▪ But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Hebrews 12:22)

2) 是神所親自經營建造的(來11:10)

2) Is built and made personally by God (Hebrews 11:10)

3) 是基督的新婦

▪ 「你到這裏來，我要將新婦，就是羔羊的妻，指給你看。」 10 我被聖靈感動，天使就帶我到一座高大的山，將那由　神那裏、從天而降的聖城耶路撒冷指示我。 (啟21:9-10)

3) Is the bride of Christ

▪ ⁹ “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” ¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. (Revelation 21:9-10)

4) 是仇敵所懼怕的

▪ 1耶和華本為大！在我們 神的城中，在他的聖山上，該受大讚美。 2 錫安山─大君王的城，在北面居高華美，為全地所喜悅。 3 神在其宮中…4 看哪，眾王會合，一同經過。 5他們見了這城就驚奇喪膽，急忙逃跑。 6 他們在那裏被戰兢疼痛抓住，好像產難的婦人一樣…8 我們在萬軍之耶和華的城中─就是我們　神的城中─所看見的，正如我們所聽見的。神必堅立這城，直到永遠。(詩48:1-8)

4) Is feared by the enemy

▪ ¹ Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. ² Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. ³ God is in her palaces… ⁴ For behold, the kings assembled, they passed by together. ⁵ They saw it, and so they marveled; They were troubled, they hastened away. ⁶ Fear took hold of them there, and pain, as of a woman in birth pangs… ⁸ As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. (Psalm 48:1-8)
