『這些人是誰?』(8) 合 神心意的大衛 (1)

 經文:使13: 22,撒上 16-172530章,撒下 5-811-12章,24章,代上 23-29

 背誦經文:「大衛在世的時候遵行了 神的旨意,就睡了(或譯:大衛按 神的旨意服事了他那一世的人,就睡了),歸到他祖宗那裏(使13:36)

 (A) 『一生蒙愛,愛主一生』的大衛

               a)大衛對 神的愛簡單地從由三件事看:

1)  迎接約櫃(撒下6,詩132)-沒有主同在就沒有辦法照常過生活

2)  定意為 神建聖殿(撒下71-7)-永遠要把最好的給神

3)  建殿心願被拒-無論怎樣,都一樣甘心樂意,只求主喜悅

             b)神對大衛的愛立『大衛之約』(78-17)—「永同在」、「永施恩」和「永遠的寶座」

     另外,從大衛的生平,大衛的詩章、頌詞,大衛的禱告在在可以看出他對  神與神對他的愛。例如:『大衛日漸強盛,因為耶和華萬軍之神與他同在』(撒下510)『耶和華使他安靖,不被四圍的仇敵擾亂』(撒下71   『大衛無論往哪裡去,耶和華都使他得勝』(撒下86b

(B) 一心順服且合 神心意的大衛

-  「我看重你的一切命令,我時常切慕你的典章,甚至心碎我要在你的命令中自樂;這命令素來是我所愛的。」 (119:6, 20, 47)

      神對大衛的評語:

「既廢了掃羅,就選立大衛作他們的王,又為他作見證說:『我尋得耶西的兒子大衛,他是合我心意的人 (a man after my own heart),凡事要遵行我的旨意。』」(使13:22)

“Who are they” (8) – David: A Man after God’s Own Heart (1)

Scriptures: Acts 13:22; 1 Sam 16-17,25,30; 2 Sam 5-8,11-12,24; 1 Chronicles 23-29

Memorization Scripture:  “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;”(Acts 13:36)

A.      David  - Who loved the Lord and also beloved of the Lord in all his days

a.       David’s love for God – from the following 3 examples:

   i.      Bringing the Ark to Jerusalem (2 Sam 6, Psalm 132) – impossible to live without the Lord’s presence.

 ii.      Determined to build the temple for God (2 Sam 7:1-7)- always giving God his very best

 iii.      Desire to build the temple rejected – seeking to please the Lord with a willing and joyful heart no matter what

b.      God’s love for David – Davidic covenant (2 Sam 7:8-17)  -enduring presence, enduring mercy, and an everlasting throne

In addition, the mutual love between David and God is evident from his life, written psalms & praises, and his prayers. (Example: “So David went on and became great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him.”(2 Sam 5:10); “…the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies all around” (2 Sam 7:1); “So the Lord preserved David wherever he went.” (2 Sam 8:6b)

B.      David – A man after God’s own heart with a heart of obedience

a.       “Then I would not be ashamed, when I look into all Your commandments; My soul breaks with longing for Your judgments at all times; And I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love.”(Psalm 119:6,20,47)

b.      And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David[a] the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’”(Acts 13:22)

C.      David – Lived an influential life all his days (To be continued)
