撒母耳特殊的出生- 敬虔母親的禱告與奉獻所產生的貴重器皿
I.
The extraordinary birth of Samuel -- A precious vessel as a result of a godly
mother’s prayer and offering
─
"萬軍之耶和華阿、你若垂顧婢女的苦情、眷念不忘婢女、賜我一個兒子、我必使他終身歸與耶和華、不用剃頭刀剃他的頭。" (撒上1:11)
- "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on
the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your
maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him
to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his
head." (1 Samuel 1:11)

"我祈求為要得這孩子；耶和華已將我所求的賜給我了。所以，我將這孩子歸與耶和華，使他終身歸與【或作："借給"】耶和華。於是在那裏敬拜耶和華。" (撒上1:27-28)
- "For this child I prayed, and the LORD has
granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent
him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD." So

(二) 撒母耳美好且不住增長的生命 - 耶和華與人越發喜愛他
II. The beautiful and growing life of Samuel -- In favor
both with the LORD and men
─ "撒母耳在耶和華面前漸漸長大…耶和華與人越發喜愛他"(2:21, 26)
- The child Samuel grew before the LORD... and in
favor both with the LORD and men. (2:21,
26)

"那時撒母耳還是孩子、穿著細麻布的以弗得、侍立在耶和華面前。 他母親每年為他作一件小外袍、同著丈夫上來獻年祭的時候、帶來給他。" （2：18-19）
- But Samuel ministered before the LORD, even as a child, wearing a linen
ephod. Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came
up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. (2:18-19)
(三) 撒母耳敬虔的事奉態度 - 深知：『聽命勝於獻祭』
III. Samuel's
godly serving attitude -- Knowing "to obey is better than sacrifice"

"撒母耳說、耶和華喜悅燔祭和平安祭、豈如喜悅人聽從他的話呢．聽命勝於獻祭、順從勝於公羊的脂油。"（15:22）
- So Samuel said: "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings
and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of
rams." (15:22)

"我在這裡" 和"請說，僕人敬聽"是撒母耳從小就突出的事奉態度 (3:4-6, 8,10, 16)
- "Here I am!" and "Speak, for Your servant hears." were the prominent serving
attitude of Samuel since he was young. (3:4-6, 8, 10, 16)
