7 And
the Lord said: ¡§I have surely seen the oppression of My
people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters,
for I know their sorrows. 8 So
I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians,
and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing
with milk and honey¡K¡¨ (Exodus 3:7-8a)

12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief
in departing from the living God; 13
but exhort one another daily,
while it is called ¡§Today,¡¨ lest any of you be hardened through the
deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our
confidence steadfast to the end (Hebrews 3:12-14)

God delivered His people out
of Egypt, so that they could be to God ¡§a treasured possession, a kingdom of
priests and a holy nation¡¨ (Exodus 19:5-6). Therefore
throughout the pilgrimage in the wilderness, God not only led, cared and
provided, but also educated them. The
Book of Numbers provides three important principles of walking on this heavenly
journey:
1. ¤Z¨Æ³£¦³ ¯«¬ü·N ¡V¡u«ö¯¸¡v©¹«e¦æ (¥Á10:12)
In all things there is God¡¦s perfect will - set out ¡§by stages¡¨ (Numbers

people of Israel set out by stages... (Numbers 10:12)

In all places God is the center - camp ¡§facing the tabernacle¡¨

The
Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ¡§The
people of Israel shall camp each by his own standard, with the banners of their
fathers' houses. They shall camp facing the tent of meeting on every side¡¨ (Numbers 2:1-2, ESV)
3.

Then
the children of Israel moved from Rameses and camped
at Succoth. They departed from Succoth and camped at Etham,
which is on the edge of the wilderness. They moved from Etham
and camped at¡K (Numbers 33:5-50)
