1. 神在我們身上工作的至終目的是為了祂的榮耀
○
約 15:8 你們多結果子，我父就因此得榮耀， 你們也就是我的門徒了。
○
賽 43:7 就是凡稱為我名下的人，是我為自己的榮耀創造的，是我所做成、所造作的。

為著這個榮耀的目的， 神需要來『修剪』我們
○
不僅僅不接果子的枝子需要修剪，就是結果子的枝子也需要修理乾淨，從而使其結果子更多 (約 15:2)。
○
其根本的原因是因為在我們的裡面不僅僅有基督 (真葡萄樹) 的生命，也有來自舊造的生命 （羅8:5-8）

『修剪』所要達到的結果是為了讓我們能夠在凡事上能夠『本於祂』，『依靠祂』，從而將榮耀『歸給祂』

聖經中摩西的經歷也許是一個最好的例子。儘管他希望帶領以色列人出埃及的心願是來自於 神，但他如何達成這件的事情上也需要來依靠 神的作為， 神藉著在曠野的經歷來更深地得著了摩西。

徒 7:22 摩西學了埃及人一切的學問，說話行事都有才能。

徒 7:25 他以為弟兄必明白 神是藉他的手搭救他們，他們卻不明白。

徒 7:29a 摩西聽見這話就逃走了，寄居於米甸 ÉÉ 徒 7:30 過了四十年，在西奈山的曠野，有一位天使從荊棘火燄中向摩西顯現。

在摩西對自己對人生完全絕望的時候， 神卻來向他顯現，賦予重任

100 榮耀之釋放
GLORIOUS FREEDOM
我曾被罪惡鎖鍊之捆綁，

288 袮這神的隱藏的愛
THOU HIDDEN LOVE OF GOD
袮這神的隱藏的愛，長闊高深，無人知悉；
Thou hidden love of God, whose height,
Whose depth unfathom'd no man

遠遠我見袮的光采，我就嘆息望得安息；
I see from far Thy beauteous light,

我心痛苦，不能安息，除非我心安息於袮。
