Heavenly Father’s Cultivation and Pruning (Cont’d)

經文：約15:1-3, 來12:5-11

Scriptures: John 15:1-3, Hebrews 12:5-11

背誦經文：10…萬靈的父管教我們，是要我們得益處，使我們在祂的聖潔上有分。 11凡管教的事，當時不覺得快樂，反覺得愁苦；後來卻為那經練過的人結出平安的果子，就是義。(來12:10-11)

Memorization Verses: 10...but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it (Hebrews 12:10-11)

The purpose of pruning (Higher Purposes): “My Father is glorified”

C. 不同角度的修理

Pruning from different angles

1. 經歷 神的審判與憐憫 (例：可拉的後裔)

To experience God’s judgement and mercy (e.g. the sons of Korah)

2. 除去天然人的自信 (例：摩西)

To remove the confidence of the natural man (e.g. Moses)

3. 經歷義人受苦 (例：亞薩的經歷)

To experience the suffering of the righteous (e.g. the experience of Asaph)

4. 接受 神的管教 (來12:5-11…)

To receive God’s chastening (Hebrews 12:5-11…)

5. 勝過試探 (雅1:12-15，林前10:12-13…)

To overcome temptation (James 1:12-15, 1 Cor 10:12-13…)

6. 治死肉體邪情私慾 (彼後1:3-11…)

To put to death the flesh and its passions and desires (2 Peter 1:3-11…)

7. 學習身體的配搭與聖徒彼此的成全 (林前12:12-27，帖前5:10-14…)

To learn to serve as a body and edify each other with the saints(1 Cor 12:12-27; 1 Thessalonians 5:10-14…)

8. 接受 神話語的潔淨與建造 (弗5:26-27，2:19-22…)

To be purified and built up by God’s words (Ephesians 5:26-27，2:19-22…)

9. 對付偶像 (例：埃及降十災，巴力，金牛犢，心中的偶像…)

To deal with idols (e.g. ten plagues in Egypt, Baal, the Gold Calf, idols of the heart…)

10. 在試煉中信心的提升 (經歷各種的試煉與考驗，風雨生信心…)

To elevate faith through trials (through all kinds of testing and trials, faith out of storms…)

D. 被 神修理的時候 (以接受 神的管教為例)

When being pruned by God (e.g. being chastened by God)

1. 對父的『信』任：了解 神修理的原因與原則

“Trust (faith)” in the Father: Knowing the reason and principles of God’s pruning

· 5你們又忘了那勸你們如同勸兒子的話，說：我兒，你「不可輕看」主的管教，被祂責備的時候也「不可灰心」；6因為主所愛的，祂必管教，又鞭打凡所收納的兒子。(來12:5-6)

5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. (Hebrews 12:5-6)

a. 「不可輕看」:「凡屬我不結果子的枝子，祂就剪去」(約15：2a)

“Do not despise”: “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away” (John 15:2a)

b. 「不可灰心」:「凡結果子的，祂就修理乾淨，使枝子結果子更多」(約15：2b)

“Do not be discouraged”: “Every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit”  (John 15:2b)

· 10…萬靈的父管教我們，是要我們得益處，使我們在祂的聖潔上有分。

10…The Father of spirits chastens us for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.

· 我們曉得萬事都互相效力，叫愛 神的人得益處…又叫他們得榮耀。(羅8:28-30)

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God... these He also glorified (Romans 8:28-30)

2. 在『愛』中順服：知道自己是因蒙愛而被修理

Obey in “love”: Knowing that we are pruned because we are loved

· 6主所愛的，祂必管教，又鞭打凡所收納的兒子。… 9…生身的父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況萬靈的父，我們豈不更當順服祂得生嗎？(來12: 6,9)

6For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives… 9...we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? (Hebrews 12:6,9)

· 有了我的命令又遵守的，這人就是愛我的…(約14:21a)

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me...(John 14:21a)

3. 盼『望』得到主的結局：結出生命的果實

“Hope” for the end intended by the Lord: bearing the fruit of life

· 見今日的『背誦經文』- …是要我們得益處，使我們在祂的聖潔上有分。

See today’s memorization verse - ...for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.

· 弟兄們哪，你們要忍耐，直到主來。看哪，農夫忍耐等候地裏寶貴的出產，直到得了秋雨春雨。(雅5:7)

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain (James 5:7)
