“A People Dwelling Alone, Not Reckoning Itself Among the Nations” (4): The cross is our way, our life, and our testimony

經文：林前2:1-2，路9:23，林後4:10-12

Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 2:1-2, Luke 9:23, 2 Corinthians 4:10-12

背誦經文： 22猶太人是要神蹟、希利人是求智慧23我們卻是傳釘十字架的基督。在猶太人為絆腳石、在外邦人為愚拙，24但在那蒙召的，無論是猶太人、希利尼人，基督總為神的能力、神的智慧。(林前1:22-24)

Memory Verse: 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:22-24)

(一) 十架是我們的『』

(1) Cross is our “ ”

● 『來跟從我』－是主自己親自呼召我們成為祂的同伴，這也成為我們走十架窄路的動力；而且，至終會被人認出是一群『跟過耶穌』的。(使4:13b)

● “Come follow me” - Our Lord personally calls us to be His companions and this becomes the driving force for us to walk the narrow ways of the cross. And, we will be recognized as a group that “had been with Jesus”. (Acts 4:13b)

● 使徒行傳中多次出現「逼迫信奉這『道』(the Way) 的人」

● Many places in Acts talked about “persecuting those who were of the Way”

(二) 十架是我們的『』

(2) Cross is our “ ”

● 五重的挑戰－(1)『』有人要跟從我，就當 (2)『』，(3)『』背起(4) 『』十字架 (5) 『』跟從我。(路9:23)

● Five challenges －(1) “ ” anyone desires to come after Me，let him (2) “ ”, (3) “ ” take up (4) “ ” cross, and (5) “ ” follow me. (Luke 9:23)

2) Ponder on how children of God should live out a life of testimony based on the “proactive aspects of the cross”. Have the small group lead pick 3-5 brothers and sisters before the meeting and have each prepare to share about one of the following: a) “bronze altar”, b) “laver”, c) “table of showbread”, d) “gold lampstand”, and e) “gold altar of incense”.
