voyage and it is inevitable that we encounter storms

said, ÒEight or nine things out of ten in life are unpleasant.Ó

The significance and value of storms to GodÕs children
1. 風浪顯明我們的信心和屬靈生命的實情
Storms
expose the reality of our faith and spiritual life
－ 信心都需要經過試驗，而且也因此才顯其寶貴(彼前1:7,雅1:3-4)
- All faith will be
tested, and thus its preciousness is revealed (1 Peter 1:7, James 1:3-4)
2. 風浪使人轉向救主
Storms
turn man to the Savior
－ 「夫子，我們喪命，你不顧嗎？」（可4:38）
- ÒTeacher, do You not care
that we are perishing?Ó (Mark 4:38)
－ 「É甚至連活命的指望都絕了，自己心裡也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己 ，只靠叫死人復活的 神」（林後1:8-9)
- Ò.. that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we
should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, Ò(2 Cor 1:8-9)
3. 風浪幫助我們真認識 神
Storms help us to truly know God
－ 「『這到底是誰?』，連風和海也聽從祂了！」（可4:41）
- ÒWho can this be, that even the wind and the sea
obey Him!Ó (Mark 4:41)
－ Ò惟獨認識 神 的子民必剛強行事。Ó(但11:32)
- ÒBut the people who know their God shall
be strong, and carry out great exploits.Ó (Daniel 11:32)
4. 真信心幫助我們凌駕風浪
True
faith helps us to rise above storms
－「你若能信，在信的人，凡事都能。」(可9:23)
ÒIf you can believe, all things are possible to him
who believes.Ó (Mark 9:23)

如何處風浪
How to sail in
storms
(1) 注重平日與主的關係和信心的培育
Cultivate the relationship with the
Lord and build up faith regularly
(2) 立刻轉向救主，並且學習不看風浪，只看耶穌
－「look off ~
unto Jesus」(來12:2)
Immediately turn to the Savior; learn to focus on
Jesus, not the storms
－「look off ~ unto Jesus」(Hebrews 12:2)
(3) 憑信持定應許－「我信 神衪怎樣對我說，事情也要怎樣成就」(徒27:25)
Hold fast to the promise – ÒI believe God
that it will be just as it was told meÓ (Acts 27:25)
