屬靈的傳承（二）

——代代之間所共有的挑戰

背誦經文：

「我兒阿、你要在基督耶穌的恩典上剛強起來。 你在許多見證人面前聽見我所教訓的、也要交託那忠心能教導別人的人。」(提後 2:1-2)

經文：申 4：9；4：40；6：4-9，書 24：14-15；31，士 2：7；10-13

 (一)     屬靈傳承的意義及其重要性

——是留給我們后代最寶貴的產業與祝福

——「第一代「獻身」（Commitment），二代「妥協」（Compromise），三代「失迷」（Confusion）」——Bruce Wilkinson

(二)      圣經中的例子   

（A）失敗的鑒戒

（1）由在埃及掌權、蒙福到為奴、受苦（創 47：6a，出 1：6-14）

（2）由約書亞的得勝到士師時代的墮落（士 2：7-15）

（3）由大衛的全盛時期到羅波安的分裂王國   

（B）美好的榜樣

——摩西與約書亞，哈拿與撒母耳，以利亞與以利沙，保羅與提摩太，……。   

(三)     傳承本身就是一個神聖的托付與極大的挑戰

——可以是極大的祝福或可怕的危機

——需雙方均重視且共同努力

——「…總要傳給你的子子孫孫」（申 4：9）

——Challenges Shared by All Generations

I.             The meaning and significance of passing on the spiritual inheritance

—— It is the most precious inheritance and blessing that we leave for the next generation

II.           Biblical examples

A.  Alarming failures

(1)  From being in chage of Egypt and greatly blessed, to slavery and oppression (Genesis 47:6a, Exodus 1:6-14)

(2)  From Joshua’s victory, to the corruption during Judges’ generations  (Judges 2:7-15)

(3)  From the peak prosperity of David’s kingdom, to the division of the kingdom during Rehoboam’s reign

B.  Good examples

——Moses and Joshua,  Hannah and Samuel, Elijah and  Elisha, Paul and Timothy, ……

 

III.          Passing on the spiritual inheritance is a great commission and challenge

——It can be an enormous blessing or a horrific crisis

——It requires the endeavor of both generations

—      “And teach them to your children and your grandchildren “ (Deuteronomy 4:9)
